366 marathons en 366 jours

Hilde Dosogne, a new running legend with 366 marathons in 366 days.

🚀 1 marathon per day for a year:
an unprecedented feat!

A Belgian athlete makes history by becoming the first woman to run a marathon every day for an entire year.

At 55, Hilde Dosogne has broken the world record for ultra-endurance. She has just completed her 366th marathon of 2024, entering the Guinness Book of Records.

Physical endurance, incredible mental strength, and social commitment! An unprecedented endurance challenge. Every day, for 365 consecutive days, the runner ran 42.195 kilometers, the official marathon distance.

This titanic challenge is not just a physical feat; it reflects extraordinary mental resilience. With freezing temperatures in winter and scorching heat in summer, she braved all weather conditions to complete her project.

💪🏻 Determination and inspiration

Hilde said the challenge was intended to inspire other women to push their limits and show that anything is possible with discipline and passion. Her achievement is part of a growing trend toward women participating in endurance sports, such as trail running and ultramarathons.

✅ An impact beyond women's sport

Beyond her physical and sporting performance, she has raised donations for the fight against cancer: €65,000 in total.

This dual commitment, sporting and humanitarian, further amplifies the scope of his achievement.

🏃‍♀️ A performance that defies marathon statistics

  • 15,444 kilometers accumulated
  • or the distance Ghent - Cape Town in South Africa
  • 1588 hours of running
  • 24 pairs of Hoka used, aided by a partnership between TraKKs and Hoka.

The previous women's record was held by Australian Erchana Murray-Bartlett, who completed a marathon distance for 150 consecutive days.

According to experts, running a marathon every day for a year is an exceptional feat. The health risks are numerous: chronic fatigue, injuries, and a weakened immune system. Yet, thanks to meticulous preparation, a dedicated medical team, and a highly optimized diet, Hilde Dosogne overcame these obstacles.
